I’m so tired of conservative racism dawg 🫩 Like, no. The black pilot wasn’t handed a job. All pilots literally need the same training and certifications…

IMO people are much more likely to be handed somethign bc they’re friends with or related to the right people than anything to do with race

Well, buckle up because US politics says there’s no other option. The conservative party, the Democrats, literally ran a segregationist the last two times, and they use their failure as an excuse to collaborate with the fascist party, the Republicans.

DEI. I don’t think you understand what it is. If a field lacks representation from certain groups, the goal becomes increasing representation, which can mean making it easier for those candidates to get hired and placing less emphasis on qualifications.

And typically white people are in positions of power, so white people tend to be handed more things simply by virtue of unconscious tendency to identify with and do more for people who are similar to us

And it’s part of the reason we want to get rid of DEI. When I see a black Asian Latino person get into a good college, good job offer or accomplished something good. I want to be able to proudly say they did this strictly of merit . Not DEI. They deserved the recognition.
