In the context of nobody wanting another Bush, yes you’re right. As anonymous candidates, Jeb was definitely better. But even as an anonymous candidate he wasn’t vehemently racist like the rest of the Republican candidates were and that’s what Republicans wanted after watching a black man be a successful and respected president

It was obvious he was going to win with how poorly the Democrats handled the election. First they pump up Joe Biden, then he drops out. Then we get Kamala, whose entire campaign was her going around her rich people safe spaces. It was more like a joyride for her fun than an election. All her interviewers threw softball questions at her. Trump instead showed himself working at McDonalds. This made him look good. He also seeker out difficult interviews. This made him look more competent.

he was positioned to lose the election. you do understand that you can’t go through life consistently projecting every one of your flaws, right? not only is that not healthy, it’s just not a good way to live; actively deluding yourself like that.
