That doesn’t make telling them they should be raped morally justifiable or okay?

It’s directly related.

Right but that random woman isn’t even related to the Super Bowl half time show.

And you’re right, it’s not morally justifiable. But the people who actively supporting a political figure that’s pro rape are republicans.

No, but tbf it’s hypocritical for a leftist to claim “hate is stronger than love” then say something like “you deserve to be raped” Either don’t say the first or don’t say the second This is hypothetical though, she may not believe love is stronger than hate at all

upvote -2 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #2 2d

Maybe hypocritical for that leftist specifically. But it’s hypocritical for a Republican to condemn anyone for being pro rape to begin with, given they support the arch mega rapist. They might be right, but they’re the only group not applying that standard to everyone.

Do we even know whether they’re totally lying about what the woman said? OOP never showed the video

True

“They’re the only group not applying that standard to everyone” Every group has in-group / out-group bias, leftists 100% sometimes defend other leftists simply because they’re leftists, it’s a basic psychological fact

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #3 2d

no that’s why I said it’s a hypothetical, but even assuming it’s fake comes from a place of bias of assumption

upvote 1 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #2 2d

… right okay. So you’re saying I’m a hypocrite because a leftist could, theoretically support a bad person…?

Like not even me, just any leftist?

you said republicans are the only group that do that type of thing when in reality leftists do it all the time too

upvote 2 downvote

Right but people who voted Republican the last election are the only group where supporting a rapist is a prerequisite

upvote -1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #2 2d

Maybe it’s a bias of assumption, but I’ve also seen plenty of clips on Twitter where the caption totally misrepresents what happened or outright lies and it still goes viral. And the fact that anyone actually said this is so absurd it’s a bit difficult to believe

Hate to say it but a lot of Trump voters likely had no idea he was a rapist, doesn’t make it okay, but it’s not like “Hm, this guy’s a rapist, doesn’t matter to me!” went through every Trump voter’s head

upvote 1 downvote

Trumps first ever scandals as a presidential candidate was him being recorded saying he sexually assaults women and they “let you do it when you’re famous”. After a certain point it’s your own fault.

Yeah were those clips played on Fox News to rural voters in the South repeatedly? Not everyone is privy to every single piece of info. Like I said, it’s not an excuse, but the idea that all Trump supporters support rape or don’t think it’s a problem is an overgeneralization the same way MAGA makes overgeneralizations

Yes?

Fox News absolutely played those clips or at least discussed them. And even if they didn’t, they aren’t literally cut off from the rest of the world, they KNOW he said that.

A lot of them don’t lol, literally just ask a Trump supporter IRL, the way you talk ab them shows you don’t talk to them at all

I literally live in rural Pennsylvania I can promise you every Republican I’ve ever talked politics with has been aware of that and just didn’t care. Again, people wore “grab em by the pussy” T shirts in 2016. To maga rallies. This wasn’t some secret hidden by the right wing media. They leaned into it.

Brother I’m out there talking to them and changing minds and hearts, it’s possible, the people that say it isn’t care more about moral superiority than acc trying to make a difference or make change

I didn’t say it was impossible to change minds but I’m telling you that you’re treating adult humans like stupid children and refusing to give them any responsibility for their own actions.

Nobody should care ab twitter influencers they’re all grifters and most of them don’t gaf ab politics like that, the idea that Trump supporters hold the same view as the grifters that say insensitive things for money is absurd

yeah some adults are stupid, people make mistakes, people are ignorant you can wish it wasn’t true but it is, you can either live in denial or address the world as it is lots of Americans genuinely think their tax dollars go to housing undocumented immigrants

there are bad people on both sides. she is a one of those people. we haven't voted for her or defended her. you cannot be anti-rape and vote for the man who raped and murdered children. you just think it's "proof the other side" is bad/worse. this woman is a random woman no one knows. the right's rapist is the president.
