One important thing to consider is that historically republicans poll very poorly in the summer months and miraculously (I don’t understand why really) rebound following Labor Day. I imagine the polls will swing a few points to the right by November. Not enough to change the house but these contentious senate races maybe. I do think talarico has a real shot in TX, but I don’t think it’ll be more than 1 point. I think sherrod brown wins Ohio by a larger margin than talarico or Paxton Texas

Talarico has been up in every poll I have seen. Dude got impeached by his own party and is a generationally-bad candidate. Rogers is the most prominent Republican in Michigan and fairly moderate presumably going against a guy who will get slandered through the mud on every local news source to the point he will be unelectable.

I don’t think media articles are going to sway Michiganders. I think the economic situations of Michiganders will decide the election

Rogers has little to any ties to Trump and Sayed is too far left. Also, lots of people won’t vote for him simply because he is muslim. Rogers wins

I just think Paxton is such a bad candidate that it will be too much. I know that that always seems to happen, but this year seems pretty different. Trump is too stubborn to help the party and continues to force himself into races that his presence hurts (GA gov., TX sen., MN gov., NY gov., LA sen., CA gov., etc). I really think it will only get worse.

All Paxton has to do is say “talafreako” enough times and he’ll get at least 33% of the vote. Plus those two billionaire evangelicals in tx that involve themselves in every election are gonna do whatever they can to delude the public

I hope I’m wrong tho, tx going blue would be a disaster for the GOP. Kinda like an elephant pissing in a convention center but that prolly won’t happen right?

Talarico should be saying nothing in his ads except running over and over and over that Paxton freed a child rapist after one day. It should be played on every commercial break on every news station. He will surely win doing that.

I mean hopefully, but on a moral basis I hate the fact that political ads are all just attacks now. It’s never “vote for me bc I’m good for these reasons”. It’s just “don’t vote for them bc they’re EVIL”. Not that Paxton isn’t evil, but that’s the campaign meta that citizens united has amplified

I think its a race by race basis. In many races, neither candidate is inherently evil, so talking about what makes you better is ideal. In a race like TX, laying out Paxton’s flaws is imperative
