This discussion is specifically about men, and female victims of rape, intimate-partner homicide, and many forms of severe violence overwhelmingly report MALE perpetrators; however, violence among women is more commonly reported as psychological, relational, or lower-level physical aggression than the forms of violence that dominate homicide and serious assault statistics which are committed by MEN.
‘Some’ is doing quite a bit of heavy lifting. By sheer numbers alone, we know that a not insignificant number of the male population is abusive, rapists, murderers, etc. Regardless, caution is always there for a good reason. If I have gave you a bag of Skittles and told you one of them was poisoned, how many would you eat? Is it fair to assume any one of the Skittles might be poisoned, and thus, not want to eat any of them? What if five of the Skittles were poisoned? What about fifteen?
