We should invade Israel instead. They’re basically our colony, yet for the last few years are refusing to get in line, it’s time we pull on the leash a bit.

Does Iran need regime change? Yes. Are they a regional threat and state sponsor of terrorism? Yes. Should we spend our time, resources, and lives trying to take down the regime? Absolutely not. We have far bigger problems in far more important parts of the world

because iran doesn’t have the capacity to retaliate in any meaningful way besides maybe shooting some missiles and it would be well worth our time for the ayatollah to be dead/in moscow

But us doing a coup of their democratically elected leader in Iran & installing someone we wanted literally led to the current government. No to mention we’ve tried this in multiple countries & it just makes a bad situation even worse for the native population on top of creating future enemies for us down the line.

I was talking about Mossadegh who was democratically elected. We helped overthrow him for oil. I was saying that U.S. overthrowing him & installing a leader led to the Ayatollah. Also I stated we have done this exact same thing in multiple other countries & got bad results. I wanted to know why you believe this time would be different
