About 6 weeks after my school was shot up, when asked about a different school shooting, Charlie said, “I think it's worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.” Yes, I do think that he harmed people with his words. Nobody who’s been through a shooting should have to hear someone never affected by gun violence say that it was worth it.
