i am here to tell you that a publicly acknowledged sector of the feds with a public mission statement is not the same as a group kept under wraps that technically never existed in the public eye

Yeah except that’s just not true, the Gestapo was a known agency, the public may not have known everything they did, but also we wouldn’t know everything ICE is doing had this happened before cell phones and ring cameras.

ok but we do bc we are living in the early stages of surveillance states. it’s not a secret to any degree and it’s silly to act like it is. there’s a bunch of shit going on that is kept hush but this is not one of them
