im OOP and I called it an unforced error not because I don’t think he’s encouraging violence (he is!) but bc it’s not being received well even by congressional republicans and bc it was a domestic violence episode he wasn’t even kind of cornered into it.

anyway don’t put words into my mouth. I don’t think this shit is “kooky” and I certainly don’t think it was any sort of innocent mistake. I also don’t think it was a decision that plays well with Trump’s goals. so, a tactical error.
