I mean Jackson oversaw a genocide, but he’s up there

Frankly, I don’t think enough time has passed for us to properly assess this; people still undersell how destructive Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, Herbert Hoover, and George W Bush were, but Trump would at the very least be worst somewhere among them

On top of being comically evil, he’s just so fucking stupid and incompetent. He can’t even hold the office of president with any dignity. He just shits his pants and insults people

He may also be inched out by Andrew Johnson whose administration we really never recovered from

Jackson has redeeming factors like how he abolished the original federal reserve which is responsible for the devaluation of our dollar. Not to mention how many settlers lives he saved in the trail of tears. This doesn’t justify but rather describes his reasoning

Not to mention the fact we actually had a tyrant who put a entire race into camps and refused to relinquish power

I think we easily have enough to say he’s been worse than Nixon, Hoover, and George W. I do agree that Reagan and Johnson are still a much harder argument though

Again, I don’t think enough time has passed to say that with certainty, especially given Nixon’s war on drugs, Hoover’s mismanagement of the economy, and Bush’s foreign policy have all done irreparable damage that impact the quality of life for every day Americans decades later. We’ve only had Trump for one decade, so it remains to be seen what the long-term impact of his administration will have, though it wouldn’t surprise me if in twenty years, we look back and conclude he was worse than Bush

Trump’s mismanagement of the economy, foreign policy, and wars both in Iran and against our government and its legal system have also done irreparable damage that will Impact the quality of life for everyday Americans in several decades
