They didn’t recognize Israel because Israel displaced many Palestinians from their homes. Also Hamas was created to fight against Israeli aggression. Even before October 7th the IDF murdered 200+ Palestinian citizens with 40 of them being children. Before that they had countless other aggressive actions towards Palestinians. Respectfully you need to look at the history.

Yeah, they shouldn’t have acknowledged any legitimacy, apartheid states are not legitimate.

It was quite literally one of the determining factors… This is quite literally a reoccurring thing. Foreign nations set up lackadaisical borders in land that doesn’t belong to them and conflict arises. Don’t project your ignorance on me.
