I don’t really know what to make of it either tbh, the best I can think of is that Trump has some kind of respect for Mamdani because he’s not a pushover like the democrats are and not a sycophant like most republicans

I think Trump is just easily charmed, and Mamdani is exceptionally charming. Those two mix, and you get what we saw today (or yesterday technically).
