1. “It’s not left vs right, it’s up vs. down” 2. Democrats are not “left” and Republicans are not “right”. They are “center right” and “far right” respectively 3. The “up vs down” observation is the core of leftism

It’s both simultaneously. Which side of the political spectrum supports billionaires entirely and which one wants to make it so they don’t exist anymore?

If it’s not left vs right and it’s exclusively up vs down, why are some of my so-called “teammates” voting to take my rights away?

Wait until OP finds out there can be multiple dimensions at the same time

Right wingers are pawns for the upper class, true. I will say that fascists are NOT our teammates, and people who are in favor of taking people’s rights fit that description. However, despite the abuse the right has subjected me to on a personal level, I do not see rightwing voters as my enemies. They are exploited and robbed of their rights as people under this unjust system as we all are (though they also benefit from it in some ways, i.e. patriarchy and white supremacy)

They bear anxieties from living under capitalism, but due to propaganda they don’t consider the true solution to this issue. I think it’s quite a shame.

While I agree, this post was made addressing the people who make the sort of observation in #1. It cannot hurt to alert people that there is another way
