Have to disagree here, for one where does one draw the line at what is hate speech and what isn't. Where's context if said speech was part of a skit, movie, show, or stand up.

So we’re openly cheering on anti free speech laws now? Jesus Christ, has it really come to this?

No, free speech is free speech. People are responsible for their own actions and aren’t being forced to commit violence by things said online. And even if that weren’t the case, 12,000 people are being arrested a year. I seriously doubt that all of those people were “inciting violence”

In the United States, it is illegal to incite violence.

It’s illegal to do shit like yell fire in a movie theater or actually plan and orchestrate an act of violence. Saying “I think xyz should happen” on twitter isn’t and shouldn’t be illegal

Hot take, maybe there should be some sort of consequence to sharing your opinion if your opinion is something like “genocide is good”

There should never be consequences for sharing an opinion of any kind

Because we’re talking about social media posts and twitter is a huge platform where political discussions happen regularly? Why are we talking about inciting violence?
