Someone said Noah’s flood covered the entire earth. To cover mt. everest you need 1.2 sextillion gallons. If the flood was 40 days that’s 30 quintillion gallons a day. Which is 6 inches of rain PER SECOND. Hurricane Harvey was 6 inches of rain per hour.

You can't use logic with people who think the earth is 6000 years old

I’m an atheist but this argument isn’t that good. Like if you believe in a god who formed the entire universe out of nothing, you probably believe he’d be able to cover the earth in water quickly. Like yeah that’s physically impossible by scientific standards but the entire bible is based on the son of god being killed and coming back to life. That isn’t exactly scientifically accurate

If he could fit that many animals on a boat then I’m sure God could make it rain that hard lol

It wasn’t described as 6 inches of rain per second it was described as a storm. actually it was described as “it rained 40 days and 40 nights” not literally an absolutely impossible amount of rain dumped down every second for thousands of hours

There would be evidence everywhere in the world for it. A sudden change in the soil layers. It’s just not there

That is what they say. For some reason, God designed the entire earth to hide the events of the Bible to try and gaslight us

I’m Christian and was taught that everything in the Bible is spiritually true, not necessarily literally true. I don’t really believe the story of Noah’s ark happened literally as it’s described, it’s a parable about trusting God.
