Yes, the country that dismantled entire nations during the Cold War is gonna give you a 100% accurate and unbiased narrative of communism and capitalism. Thank you YikYak chuds 🥹

So the Soviet Union? Remember when they invaded and Russified all of Eastern Europe and Central Asia?

I’m not even going to address the “illegal dismantling” part of that because it collapsed from within, but better in most cases. Take Poland for example. Plummeting poverty rate, quadrupling highway infrastructure, 25x more trade since 1989, GDP rise from 39% of EU average in 1990 to 80% in 2023, so in short, things are much, much better after the fall of the Union.

Is that due to Poland no longer being under the ussr or just broader economic trends over the course of the past 35 years

No it’s definitely because the USSR is gone. Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia are all doing great, Ukraine was on the up and up before Putin tried to put the union back together.

Poland is literally fascist 😭I am not sure I would choose that as an example of successful government. Yeltsin tore down the USSR, many Russians wish to go back to it, and we see the aftermath of the USSR being destroyed on Russia to this day- where it is no better than its western imperial counterparts.
