
IIRC Harris and Newsom are still leading in polling for possible candidates (which was predictable) with Buttigieg and AOC behind them. Khanna is acting like he’s testing campaign success, but I don’t think he has enough name recognition as the aforementioned (esp before the publicity from the files). I really love AOC, she’s a great politician. However, Biden’s success came from more voters in suburban/middle-age blocs which idk if AOC could pull from “popular” corporate democrats
I think AOC is likely going to try for Schumer’s seat. I don’t loathe Newsom, it just feels like checking boxes though. I think we’ll likely see Newsom, Mark Kelly, Beshear, maybe Khanna, Pritzker, maybeee Harris (not going to make a guess on her). I think potential candidates like Whitmer, Buttigeg, even Ossof are unlikely to throw their name in. Feels like we’re running in place sometimes but I do think the recent midterms have been explorative
