Fraternities are weird to me. The idea of paying a SUBSCRIPTION to have friends is alien. Like just, have friends lol

9 times out of 10 that’s coming from someone who only sees the social side of a fraternity. Most if not all have professional development opportunities, connections to well known people in whatever industry you want to work, and a lot more productive things than just parties but you only see that if you’re actually in

I mean I respect that and all but, I’ve been into quite a few of them and impressions so far have not been good. Like they had a pledge standing by the doors to open and close them for everyone like a slave shit was weird

That is an outdated aspect of fraternities but tbh I’m seeing less and less of that kind of pledgeship and more focus on developing them as a professional, I’m definitely not going to sit here and defend hazing
