basically makes it to your name HAS to match the one on your birth certificate. dont have your birth certificate? cant vote! names dont match bc marriage, adoption by step-parent, etc.? cant vote! dont have a copy of your marriage license or adoption certificate? cant vote!! don’t have a passport worth $165-$200 to *maybe* bypass all those required papers? CAN’T VOTE! so basically it’s mainly women that will be targeted and disenfranchised by it.

Essentially it’s unconstitutional bc it requires you to make some form of payment to vote, which is a poll tax. If it was changed to some generated number or something given to voters for free then it’d be okay. Additionally, it requires your name on ID to match your birth certificate, potentially disenfranchising trans or married female voters (or in the cases of hyphenated names, or the other partner taking the last name) meaning they can’t vote.
