the hypocrisy of people from the west in countries with nuclear weapons saying that Iran should not have nukes is insane, and (often) their problem with Iran just boils down to racism

Nah I just don’t want a reactionary theocracy with unstable leadership to have a weapon that could potentially end humanity.

I’d honestly be fine with Iran having nukes if it stopped there. But once Iran gets nukes, Saudi Arabia wants nukes, Qatar wants nukes, and Turkey wants nukes. Suddenly half of the nations in a highly volatile area have weapons that can destroy the whole world. That’s not a good idea. Israel shouldn’t have them either

As opposed to Israel and America, who definitely don’t have fundamentalists running their governments

Again, as opposed to Israel and America. Definitely not unstable countries with questionable leadership

let’s compare the us and iran since i personally have nothing to do with israel and my country is attacking iran. i believe the state of human rights in the united states is better than that of iran. is that crazy to say?

As it stands now, yeah. Albeit it’s not a world of difference between the two at this point

I don’t think Israel should have nukes either. As for America, while I don’t trust our political leadership I trust our military leaders to not end the world on a whim.

I mean, the US as it currently stands is literally heading to the point where Iran is. We have a fundamentalist fascist government right now progressively taking away our civil rights

what happens when people protest in the us? not much, they may have permit issues with the local gov or maybe at the very worst have deadly conflict with police with a possibility of a death. what happens in iran? well recently 30k plus dead. what about women in the us? are they allowed to divorce their husbands at will? how about in iran? absolutely not. Does Iran have free and fair elections for their government? no. do gays die in iran? absolutely they must

> buddy did you not see what happened in Minneapolis? And those two deaths are just what was caught on camera bc i guarantee there were more ICE related deaths > multiple republicans have literally said they want to end no fault divorce > yeah their elections aren’t fair. Neither are ours soon enough. Also remember Donald “find me 11,780 votes” Trump in 2021? > sure, gay people aren’t thrown off buildings. Wanna talk about how trans people aren’t treated by red states?
