Ur an idiot if u think AI hasn’t helped with profit… SNAPS uses an AI software that has gotten fraudulent cases below the threshold in my state which has in turn.. MADE THE STATE MONEY! Generative AI and the lack of governing around it is the issue, not AI itself

First off, no need to be rude. Second off, I don’t even know what SNAPS is. Yes, I know AI has been used effectively in certain cases, but most people think of AI as a performative tool that harms the job market.

My bad, SNAP is a food assistance program (food stamps basically) which helps soooo many ppl. A lot of people want that program gone bc of the amount of fraud cases, but this number continues to decrease year over year bc of AI. I work for an analytics company that has AI features for things like machine learning so I’ve seen truly how effective AI has been but I also know there’s sooo much that needs to be improved with the governing of it to ensure it’s used ethically and responsibly

And that’s a totally valid counterpoint. But when you look at companies like ChatGPT and Grok, it makes the outlook of AI risky.

1000% and that’s what I mean with not having the right governance around generative AI platforms like ChatGPT and grok specifically!! This is the AI I have a problem with as well, but AI as a whole is not bad and is very beneficial! These platforms just need way more regulations
