i think by including 2S for two-spirited peoples, it kinda harkens back to how their entire belief system was oppressed, but particularly it was the women or those who identified other than the typical AngloSaxon gender roles in their ideology. they either forced these people into conformity or killed them, with tons of them being mostly women even still to this day. The overlap makes sense to me if you know anything historically about MMIWG in North America.
