I feel like it’s swinging back the other way from racist and anti-communist propaganda. Sure, they have major issues with their government, but so do we, and at least their citizens are taken care of. I do agree that the pendulum might have swung a bit too far in certain circles, glorifying the system of power there and fetishizing Asian people as a whole.

Its important to realize the aims of authoritarians like trump, jinping, putin, etc is all the same. Eliminate liberty and replace it with forced conservative social values

at least they are actually building a society, and are in fact developing. the united states has been on a regressive, backwards trajectory for 40+ years. chinese authoritarianism is to the detriment of what they are doing re:nation building and is obviously evil

yeah but id argue is that the tankies who glaze china if they actually cared about democracy would say similar things about taiwan, which has achieved higher standards of living than the mainland, while defending equal rights as well which china has failed to do.

Free speech is much more allowed here in america but its 100% flawed i agree But i dont get your point Are you saying youd rather have your government disappear you and then shoot you instead of shooting you in public? Im saying i want tankies to stop glazing authoritarianism. I am on the side of “no state murder at all”
