It’s sad how badly we treat immigrants. If they’re deemed “unskilled” they are given no rights, no legal status whatsoever. And if they are deemed “skilled”? They get an h1b or some other temporary visa and are subject to the whims of their employer

Also the “unskilled” end up doing far higher skill, thankless, underpaid work that literally builds the country from construction to agriculture

blue collar work is much harder than white collar work both in terms of physical and mental difficulty as someone that’s done both
