gun violence is tragic. it's sad people use tools to hurt people they shouldn't. if we ban guns, knife violence and hammer violence and car violence would go up. guns don't make people violent. if there's a person who wants to hurt people, they're gonna do it either way. that shouldn't be an excuse to infringe on my constitutional rights.
Especially in light of the recent administration’s actions, I’m all for supporting the right to own a gun, but statistically speaking people who own guns are more likely to die via gunshot, and per capita shootings in our country correlate with how many guns civilians own (and there are more guns than people in our country). It’s just a sad fact that
well the fact is violent people will be violent, and guns don't magically make people violent murderers. that's just logic, i don't need some link to come to that conclusion. guns don't come with a hypnotizing ray beam that's fucks with your mind and makes you want to kill people.
No study supports your theory or assumptions. Gun bans and restrictions both lower crime rates and murder rates, that’s a fact. The fact is we have a higher gun death rate that’s 26 times higher than other high income countries is telling. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5801608/
