Yeah jokes aside thats my practical concern too. Ideally he spends the next few years making a fool of himself and his party and bites it a few months before the end of his term. I’m worried that if it happens soon it’ll give the sharper psychopaths under him more time to operate and make the party less embarrassing and more of a threat

Useful prop sure but not one without its own value and autonomy. If theil or Vance could do what trump does without needing trump they’d never have gone through all the trouble. They need someone who can act like trump can. I despise all these guys obviously but Vance and theil don’t have the sauce that trump does

But the shape that his quest for power and status (and not getting thrown in jail) takes and how he spins that into something that people somehow want to support is where his superpower lies. He’s someone that can animate people and get them to vote and sacrifice everything for him. Idk how he does it but I know the other guys in the shadows can’t do it like he can

Maybe it’s bc he’s not out here saying ‘I have all these big scary goals for reshaping the government’ he’s just saying ‘hey yk how people told you to not be racist or selfish? Fuck em, be racist and selfish. Women should stay in the home and the world does revolve around you’. he does it by keeping up a veil for his supporters that he’s the exact same as he was in 2016 (someone that could animate people incredibly effectively) while slowly morphing into a corrupt husk just trying to save his own skin and look cool

he may have had actual goals in like 2015 but I believe that since 2021 he’s simply been a conduit for others’ goals and thinks he can get something out of it (escaping the law, the being able to sit in the highest seat in the world and twiddle this thumbs, etc.)

Yeah I do wonder about that. I genuinely believe he is purely driven by greed and status and basically nothing else. I think people see him be unabashedly greedy and selfish and say that’ he’s a genuine person, because he is. He is genuine about what a selfish monster he is.

But I heard a quote from him from 2016 that confused me. He was taking about Obamacare and how we need something better. It wasn’t even primarily about hating Obama which would’ve been more in character, it was that Obamacare doesn’t work for people. Now I’m thinking, why does 2016 trump care at all that some people can’t get healthcare? How does this help him get money or status? Is it the extreme long game or what?
