Me when I suck off the most repressive regime on the planet because they called themselves “special juche communism” 50 years ago and threaten global stability because it isn’t being subsidized by the USSR anymore
The liberals in the comments are dumb as hell. How hard is to educate yourself on a country’s history before saying insane shit about it

What’s it called when you put “military first” threaten to nuke your neighbors and fire missiles in Japanese air space? Those are not the actions of a peaceful nation.

My issue isn’t with someone being a communist, my issue is with the abhorrent level of dick sucking for totalitarians who have no interest in improving the conditions of the working class.

No #2 I think this person legitimately drank the tankie kool aid and thinks that the very credible accounts of objective torture and the corpses of people who attempt to flee the nation are a western hoax

They have never threatened their neighbors they are just trying to deter western military intervention 😭

Which countries do you think communists materially support then? The US? Or like freaking Scandinavia? No we support socialist projects like the DPRK 😭 Totalitarian? 😭😭 all you spout are cia talking points I love being called a tankie. It just means you’re an actual communist. Thank you for the compliment

“Deter western military intervention” okay so why do they need to gun down anyone who wants to leave their country? Why do they need to threaten to nuke Seoul killing millions of civilians every few years? Why do they need to fire missiles into Japanese air space? If North Korea is so great and so peaceful why can’t they have a free and open society like South Korea or Japan?

They don’t gun down ppl who try to leave? In fact, South Korea doesn’t let them return if they’ve been tricked by mules. South Korea puts you in prison if you speak positively about the north. They don’t threaten to nuke anyone… that would be the US lmao North Korea is far from perfect but it’s much more free than the south. South Korea is the hell hole they try to convince that the north is

You’re literally asking “shouldn’t they be free like South Korea (who is still colonized and controlled by the US) and Japan (awful colonizers?) like whatttt. Why would they want to be like them

A person in South Korea can wake up and go wherever they like and read whatever they like and decide what to purchase and wear and where to be and what to do in life and whether they wish to be gay or straight and can criticize their government and vote for their own leaders and leave the nation freely

For a “communist” who supposedly cares about the working class and is primarily focused on the material realities of the working class you seem deeply focused on the idea of nation states over the material realities of the working people. There is plenty to criticize the US and Japan and South Korea and any society for, but I would argue you cannot substitute capital’s oppression of the working class with a state’s oppression of the working class and call it liberation.

My grandma was literally born in South Korea. Yes. In South Korea you are relatively free. There is oppression and issues, but capitalism in a liberal society is 1000% preferable than the deep authoritarianism of North Korea.

Nah I’m deeply focused on the countless victims of American/western violence & advocate for their liberation. As someone who deeply cares about the global south & the working class, I don’t help manufacture consent that will lead to their murders. Our sanctions shave off 1.5 years from their lives so yeah I’m very much against that. North Korea is a dictatorship of the proletariat, the working class. I very much advocate for them to have control of their lives/rather than the ruling class.

They are totalitarian. If your only idea for how to arrive at a better system is modern day North Korea you fundamentally do not understand Lenin. How do you think Lenin would view dynastic rule? That’s not a vanguard party. How do you think Marx would view the economics of a state which seems to struggle to provide for its poorest but produces extravagance for a dynastic family and ranking military officials? They all fucking suck, get a better imagination.

How do you square that “dictatorship of the proletariat” with the fact they are ruled by a dynastic family? Do you think Kim Jong un has ever done manual labor? Do you honestly believe he has ever cleaned a university campus or repaired HVAC units or worked in a field or factory?

Yes. I have issues with both.

It’s not dynastic rule tho. Kim Jong un is not the leader of the DPRK. And again I don’t think ideally. So no I don’t think a heavily sanctioned country that is forced into isolation is the ideal outcome for the ppl of the DPRK. But it is the material reality of deadly sanctions, genocide and the violent boot of America. And again that’s just propaganda 😭

It’s not propaganda that North Korean military officials engage in foreign markets to purchase luxury items. That is a matter of public record. We have seen the Kim estate and we have seen the lifestyle they lead. Is it not common sense that a great place that is freeing the people would need to kill people for trying to leave? Why can’t people walk out of North Korea as Americans could get a pass port and drive to Canada or Mexico or someone in France could ride a train to Spain?
