If you want gun control, there's actually a way for you to make a big difference by yourself. Just destroy or turn in any guns you may own.

What if I’m cool with pistols but not with guns that can achieve, for example 120 rpm semi auto. Or above a certain caliber? Or certain higher background checks for higher guns? Or gun safety requirements for those guns?

You should turn in your guns

That doesn’t answer my question.

What do you need me to clarify?

Sounds like you’ve made up your mind and are completely unwilling to discuss reasonable middle ground.

I have, if you want gun control you should be the first one turning in your guns.

That doesn’t seem reasonable. Why do you assume gun control means no guns? It means controlling access to guns, not eliminating it.

I don't assume it means no guns, I assume that it means less guns, and logically the people who want less guns can just turn in their own guns to get them off the street.

It doesn’t mean less guns by any means. That’s just dumb. It means logical, rational, and intentional legislation mitigating the firepower people can access and how reasonably they can access. Which should almost certainly be a factor of where they live and what they do.

For example: we could solve a lot of issues if we required psych evaluation prior to getting your drivers license. That could be used for gun licensing. Every 4 years until 25 and every 10 years after that, just as a hypothetical scenario

Sorry I should have clarified what I mean by "less guns". Obviously not every time you are denied a sale or turn in a gun, it will be destroyed. There are some cases where it would but it is certainly not every case. What I mean is that there will be less guns in the hands of civilians. If you want it "mitigated", turn it into a police department.

Your unwillingness to comply with the most basic request of the law you would like to implement is kind of hilarious.
