there’s layers to it ofc, and u can always tell the difference as soon as u hit a deep point of it, where people are 100% serious about the whole community. others pretend to be unserious but then actually do the looksmaxxing stuff and have the personality

in the more surface level stuff they do a couple funny things 1. a lot of ppl edit clavicular’s (prob most famous looksmaxxer) face to distort it and make fun of his insecurities. these editors are making bank off of him and also spreading his channel/message more than the actual deep fans of him. these people hate him tho lowkey. 95% of engagement u see in videos at this level are semi-negative towards him and usually ppl try to be funny. 2. theres a copied text going around being pasted

in comments that just over the top “glazes” him like crazy. ive seen multiple accounts post the exact same paragraph. the comment will always get replies taking it seriously and making fun of it. mind you these are at least 75% of his fan group. on the deep levels they just rate eachother and brag about how early they got into looksmaxxing “before it was mainstream”

My little sister is the latter. I know that it seems like tongue-in-cheek joking, but I have watched her self-perception and her opinion of others (including me) change bc of it. Literally remember there was a 3 month period where she’d announce which one of us was “getting mogged.” Love you and I know you love me but also what the fuck?? Even though I like being attractive, I cannot imagine devoting that much of my time and self esteem to something when it’s the least interesting thing abt me.
