Maybe because this wasn’t something they just did from the start, they saw white people just taking Africans and decided to use it to make a profit. Also they weren’t the actual slavers who treated anyone with dark skin as property. Maybe they “don’t get blamed” because nobody is stupid enough to put them next to some of the most evil people in history.

I’m going to hold ur hand when I say this, 1.saying “Africans sold other Africans” is like saying “Europeans fought European in WW1-2” there’s more nuances than that. 2.Slavery in Africa was more of indentured servitude. You’d be captured, work, and then gain freedom and citizenship. Doesn’t make it ok but it’s not comparable to American Slavery. 3.Slavery in Africa wasn’t hereditary. If an enslaved woman in Africa had a child, that child didn’t gain the status of their mother.

Yes, that is true it was a different form of slavery like the Roman’s. Regardless, it was still slavery, in which most slaves were sold to the transatlantic slave trade. 3. It depends on the region and status of the mother or father. 4. Slavery was a type of trade back then, in which every civilization back then practiced.
