Wait I’m out of date on the news. Which court orders did he ignore?

Well, he deployed national guard troops domestically, without approval from their respective states nor congress; which was illegal. He also did it with the intention of deterring crime he claimed, which is still illegal, the military can’t be used in place of police forces unless extreme circumstance like martial law if I’m not mistaken. He even had enlisted marines walking the street of cali. Back in November a judge ruled his deployments to be specifically illegal.

Also he was ordered via court order to release the emergency funds, on which trumps admin only released a limited amount, and used this case to go directly to the Supreme Court to get judicial powers limited. So while they ignored court orders to release all the funds, they weaponized those court orders to go to the Supreme Court to claim that the judicial branch, one of the checks and balances, had too much power over the executive branch.. similar to what they’ve been doing with congress…

Ah gotcha I haven’t really heard of this second one! But the first one, I heard that it was eventually ruled legal

I think it might be vice versa actually! I think technically the second one is legal now bc the Supreme Court ruled it so, but the first one I think is still illegal, the judge that declared the deployment illegal gave until tomorrow for the admin to appeal (unless there was an appeal already and I just missed it!!) It is quite interesting though, gotta see what happens but I feel like if it goes to the SC they’ll rule in his favor anyway :/
