
Yeah, we have the biggest economy in the world, but that wealth isn't evenly shared. We're a rich country with a thin social safety net, so a lot of people live with outcomes you'd expect somewhere much poorer. And I'd argue the two halves of your post are connected: the same system that concentrates wealth also eats up our time, isolates us, and treats art and culture as luxuries. We got rich partly by trading away the community and downtime humans actually need.
also i agree with that. we have more people completely unsupported than in places like france, the uk etc. but middle class people will tend to have more here than in those places. they’ll have ac, more access to food, and just generally be able to buy more even on a stretched income
