what do you mean by less abortions? I think if the mother feels unfit in any capacity, victim of rape, baby won’t survive, etc. it’s justified. The vast majority of women are treating abortions like a plan b given that it is invasive and expensive.

We should take steps like contraception, sex education, and awareness to prevent unwanted pregnancies. We should also increase financial and community support for mothers and parents, as many of the reasons for women getting abortions are financial or timing (they don’t feel ready)

I 100% agree and that’s the fault here. Those against abortion tend to not actually care about educating people and giving alternatives (birth control, condoms, plan b, etc) and that’s whereas a society they fail sexual active people because there is shame and/or lack of education in taking preventative measures in between having sex and getting an abortion and demonizing sex education especially in young women and men creates an issue that doesn’t need to exist.

and you make a good point about the financial aspect because abortions tend to be linked to those in poverty and especially minorities in poverty who don’t have the resources or education so creating a bigger support system, allocating resources to these groups, and offering education would result in reduced abortions. I still think abortions are a good resource but obviously should not be the only thing people should rely on.
