I don’t understand anti ai sentiment. Like, on most fronts, the issues that people are upset with are purely caused by capitalism and the method that capital owners are implementing AI models (environmental, privacy, etc); but what about local models?

But…why? Most, if not all, of the issues are about *how* people either train or use AI models, not artificial intelligence itself? How is this any different from opposing any new technological advancement when it comes out? We’re blaming technology for the actions it enables the people in power to do, instead of getting mad at the people that have that much power and are willing to exploit billions?

Most if not all of the issues with meth are because of people make or use it and that doesn’t make meth a good thing. Ai is a tool that makes it much easier to exploit billions and should be criticized along with these billionaires who are propping our retirement accounts on ai speculation
