I don’t accept the other claims either, I simply point out the fact that Jesus Christ, son of God or not, was a real person who preached radical love and acceptance which is worth fighting for irregardless of his divinity. I may believe Christ to be divine, but that doesn’t give you the right to discriminate lol. I just simply don’t think the entire universe appeared one day with no real cause.

Care to explain how something came from nothing while still being a material cause? Seeing as, of course, before the Big Bang there was not material to create things of?

The difference is that there is actual evidence for the causes of all things being material, and zero evidence for the metaphysical. Sure I cannot tell you what exact material cause preceded the big bang, but I can say with relative certainty that it wasn’t YHVH just as I can say it wasn’t Zeus, or any other fictional character. Even if I accepted your premise that the universe was created (I don’t lol) that still gets you no where closer to demonstrating that it was whichever deity you think

I care deeply about what other people think because I have to live in a world with other people whose ideas affect me. If I think other people are believing in ridiculous things I probably want to help show why those things are ridiculous, before they use a ridiculous worldview to impose negative consequences into the real world 🤷‍♂️

There’s a stark difference between the average Christian and the Christian Nationalist I presume you mean who shoves their beliefs on another. I fully agree that doing so is wrong, but that’s also why I feel you’re wrong. To either force belief or force a lack of is wrong either way, especially when the only basis for it being “ridiculous” is the fact you weren’t there to see it as well.

No the basis for it being ridiculous is that a tri-Omni god is logically impossible, there is no evidence for any particular god or goddess, and science has demonstrated every phenomenon in the universe to have a naturalistic explanation. I am not forcing this belief, just saying that to think otherwise is ridiculous. And Christian nationalists aren’t the only Christians capable of causing real harm to others
