biologically, we are in the same taxonomic family Hominidae but we diverge from there… it’s not like we say every duck is a swan bc they share the same taxonomic family.

We’d call both ducks and swans waterfowl (the common name for the family Anatidae) in the same way we’d call both humans and gorillas great apes (the common name for the family Hominidae)
