I have nothing against the people. I have everything against the government and its decisions. I could say the same about our own country. I have nothing against many of the people. But those in government who commit harmful actions, and those who support those actions? I will absolutely speak out against them

I can separate the actions of the government from its people, and absolutely from the religion the majority of those people practice. I can absolutely dislike an action of a governing body without having to also be against the majority practiced religion of its people. Like I said, those things are not correlated

Why did you put “Jewish” in quotations. Unironically that is anti-Semitic because it implies that Jewish anti-genocide voices are not valid. Additionally, Jewish voice for peace is a Jewish organization that includes people who have lived, or still live in Israel.

I’m confused, because there are Jewish people who do agree with the claim I’m making. There’s an entire organization which #3 mentioned. And besides, I am literally saying that the two are separate entities, because they are. Both things can be true. I can dislike the actions of the government and also be completely accepting of the religion. I’m so lost as to how you are misconstruing this

Not one person here has made the claim that “Israel should perish.” Only that Palestinian people deserve to be free, as well as that the actions of the Israeli government are inhumane and wrong. I believe that what they are doing isn’t okay, but I don’t believe that they should cease to exist. I just think they should change their ways, yk?

I guess I just don’t understand how you hate the country but not its people. An overwhelming percentage of those in Israel are in support of the IDF. The same cannot be said of those in support of Hamas in Gaza

I’m sorry, maybe I didn’t make this clear. I have no ill will toward the country itself, or its people. I am against the inhumane actions of the government. I feel like those are two very separate things. At least they are in my process of thought. And of course many people fall victim to propaganda. There are many examples of that in both our country as well as theirs. That doesn’t make anyone bad or wrong, they only lack a well-rounded education on the subject.

Yes saying you should condemn Jews just because the majority of Jews in Israel support genocide is what nazis like to say. With that logic I would be saying every American is evil because many Americans support imperialism and the pillaging of countless countries. And yet there are many Americans who don’t support that. Why should those Americans or the Jews who don’t support Israel be condemned for something they openly oppose?

Similar to how I don’t think a white Christian state should exist, I do not believe that an ethno-state should exist, no matter is that ethnic group is. Because in order to achieve that state you have to remove people from their land, and you have to oppress the indigenous people.
