I took a few courses on elections and automatic voter registration is so incredibly important for the actual representation of real people and not special interests

When you overlook the billions in fraud, he isn’t a half bad guy

Any concrete proof he’s behind the millions* taken by fraudulent individuals? And where’s your outrage about the HUNDREDS of billions of fraud in the ballooned federal government under Trump??? Which we do have concrete proof of since it’s happening right infront of us

Lots to unpack here😭 1. I never said he was behind it, but at the bare minimum the 9 BILLION in with a “B” in fraud has either begun or continued during his governorship. I don’t think it’s insane to say that’s a bad look. Which is why he ended his reelection campaign despite blaming it on Republicans. 2. I’m not (nor do I believe my comment insinuated that I am) a Trump supporter. I believe all fraud is bad I’m not against Tim Walz, I’m against fraud. You made some massive leaps in logic

Case is still under investigation the 9 billion is a grossly overestimated figure while in reality with the evidence it’s more likely in the hundreds of millions. I’m not denying the fraud but the smear campaign to pin it all on a governor is wild, obviously I’m against fraud and it should be investigated but the only problem is if it happens in a blue state it’s treated like the end of the world. Very disproportionate amount of coverage compared to the corruption in the Trump admin

It’s still under investigation so you have zero credible claim to say it’s not the most widely stated figure. I really haven’t seem many major sources blaming Tim Walz for the entire situation, but it is an objective fact that he is the highest ranking authority in his state and fraud of that magnitude is his fault to some extent. I completely agree that there is some level of fraud in almost every state, but what makes this case so compelling is 1. The sheer scale and …

2. Potential links to terror organizations in Somalia. I’d love for all fraud to be exposed and uncovered and I naively still hope that over time that it will be. I just don’t think you can accurately describe exposing fraud as a smear campaign. There was plenty inane things thrown around about Walz during the presidential campaign that I’d agree were completely unnecessary and inappropriate. I don’t believe the same is happening now and I do genuinely believe he stepped out of the race

Because he sees zero chance where he is reelected while a potentially multi-billion dollar fraud investigation is underway in the heart of his state

Saying 9 billion is the most valid figure because it’s the “most stated” is ridiculous. With the evidence there it’s realistically pointing to less than a billion. Genuinely the biggest reason this case blew up so much as compared to the other mass fraud going on is because there was already an existing trend of dogging on Somali immigrants. It’s a common red strat to dog on some minority group then blow up any crimes abt them onto national television with the media networks they control

And then weaponize it for political purposes, we saw this more egregiously against the Haitians last year where it got to the point that completely false claims were made about them eating dogs and cats (that Vance admitted were fake)

There’s no shot you’re comparing a singular comment by JD Vance to (I’ll even give you the benefit of the doubt) hundreds of millions in fraud, some of which is potentially leaked to Al-Qaeda backed terror groups in Somalia. I genuinely can’t take you seriously if you only believe that this is being investigated because the perpetrators are Somalian immigrants. There’s growing evidence that this funding scheme is being abused in other states as well. This isn’t xenophobic witch hunt

Dude that wasn’t just a singular comment it was national news for a while until it got replaced by the next “thing” for conservatives to be outraged over. Also we both know the investigation is still going on we don’t even know if it’s above a billion dollars yet where is the evidence that it’s linked to terrorists back in Somalia?? These people should be arrested obviously but you cannot trust this corrupt admin to conduct an unbiased prosecution.

There are far bigger frauds going on that do affect our daily lives like oil companies forcing our intervention in Venezuela for hundreds of billions in government contracts or specific tech moguls that did favors for the government getting hundreds of billions in contracts

There was a hearing in the Minnesota House today in which state representatives said that there is credible evidence that money from this scheme was being sent to Al-Qaeda backed terror groups in Somalia. Idk about you, but I don’t want my tax dollars funding terrorists. You are bringing in a ton of whataboutisms, you do understand that multiple levels of government can focus on multiple things at once, right?
