YEAH DAWG! He had a graphic tee that said “semper reformanda” and had two hammers separating a skull from its lower jaw And a huge banner quoting the psalm abt God breaking the jaw of the wicked with a broken skull picture to illustrate it was freaky as hell

Semper reformanda is a Protestant thing and the Catholic Church considers veneration of Santa Muerte heretical.

Disco’s right, veneration of both are fairly common in folk-Catholic circles in some parts of the world but the official Catholic clergy is staunchly against both, and the shirt is an anti-Catholic slogan It smacks more of christo-pagan than “uber-Catholic” which is surprising in its own way because christo-pagans are usually above that in my experience

I mean sometimes a bone fragment from a dead Christian is used in constructing San La Muerte statues, but I don’t think he’s super involved in the traditional side of the veneration since he had ANYONE sitting on the same shrine as Santa Muerte lol she’s usually regarded as pretty jealous is my understanding
