TDLR: The budget would limit new birth certificates to be labeled either Male or Female. The author takes a huge logical leap in assuming this will lead to unwanted surgeries.

…that’s absolutism, my friend. many parents and medical professionals make decisions based on the words said by authority figures. many people do—that’s how authority works
