Having to live with POCs and women and non-conforming people and respect them. Not being able to abuse and feel better and morally superior to someone for superficial and base reasons. Losing their ability to force Christianity on others. No more false hope that you could one day be the trillionaire oppressor. No more saying fucked up things without consequences
It depends massively on what you mean by left wing, but I would be inclined to say suppression of free speech, suppression of freedom of religion, and poor central planning of the economy. Those are issues that most far left wing governments really struggle with, especially the Soviet Union and PRC.
and I think somewhat more centrally to the conservative lifestyle, left wing societies tend to lead to an undermining of religion. This of course depends on the kind of left wing, but I think it’s pretty reasonable to say a lot of left wing societies are either highly secular or downright anti-religious. They often see religion as being socially backward or a means of control. And even without direct animosity, more education and social progress usually leads to less religion.
