and lots of people don't want to use asylum because the usa investigates it and they don't want to risk the cartels getting a whiff of that investigation happening and learning where they are 😭

not the asylum seekers, asylum is legally restricted to those fleeing persecution based on race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion
