Depends on public/private university. Honestly just sounds like she’s going to be insufferable to deal with bc she’s a zero tolerance professor. God forbid you have an issue and miss class or turn an assignment in late. Insta zero type professor (I had 2 of those. Super progressive yaaaay but genuinely horrible educators booooooo)

There was an explanation next to the policy saying it was due to the racist history of the US and could make students uncomfortable. Love her already
