Which is really weird because it’s aimed at very specific demographics of people who both have health insurance and the specific disorder that is treatable by the drug

Yes they are incredibly effective When patients ask for a specific drug by name, doctors are significantly more likely to prescribe it, even if it might not be the best or most cost-effective clinical option.
