all i’m asking is that they actually educate themselves and don’t run from accountability, which is simply becoming more knowledgeable about the consequences of the choice to vote for and support this administration. that’s it. i want them to be able to face it. i won’t slap them with a newspaper over it & i wont fight them over it. i hold up a mirror and they feel attacked bc it doesn’t look good. i’ll wait for the day they can take a breath, walk around the mirror, and stand tall next to me.
Genuinely if different people of different perspectives actually sat down and talked, it would be infinitely better to have healthy disagreements than every this shit is “oh they want to **** X people” or “they are literally so evil that we cannot talk to them”. The demons in our heads are stronger than the evils of the people in front of us
also speaking of education, this bothers me so bad but from a grammatical standpoint: you’d use “a part of” in this case, so two separate words… the word “apart” is used as an exclusionary, to infer distance, or an item into pieces. examples include “apart from”, “a few feet apart”, or “torn apart”. i see this all too often so no judgement truly, but you do seem keen enough to remember and learn from the advice! /gen
oh my god i would do insane things to be able to actually get people to talk to each other. i can’t stand when i’m talking to people with opposing politics and they keep talking about some vague evil group of people they’ve heard of that do things and think things… as if i’m not directly in front of them NOT thinking or doing any of those things. talk to ME not to whatever you heard people think or believe! ffs. social media really killed those skills, particularly for older generations…
all the downvotes is so funny bc i’m right. all the downvoted comments are educated people wishing citizens would talk to each other. ur denial to talk is the EXACT reason you have none of your party’s bills or legislations passing in govt. so idk, keep complaining abt how you were wronged instead of strategically trying to attain a better outcome?
