I mean I can see why various groups said it was unfair. It sets a precedent, and Frontier and Avelo already said they’d like assistance from the government (to the tune of $2.5B) because they’re struggling rn too. The bondholders/creditors didn’t like it because the government would be first in line to be repaid, and some of those agreements may have said that Spirit can’t enter into deals that put anyone ahead of them
