Even if you ignore all modern day connotations it originated from the crusades. There is no symbolism that justifies it. Even the swastika at least had origins that symbolized peace; the Jerusalem cross originated from violence and has only become worse

It’s about context. This is at a church. Neo-Nazis also display it, so it’s important to keep an eye out.
