I love how no one is talking about how Canada sold out to china. A country that literally has concentration camps and literally has no free speech

Brother we have been threatening Canada for an entire year and are considering invading their neighbor, Greenland. Whatever the fuck China does, they’re clearly a better partner to Canada than us. And we now have concentration camps and are deporting people for their free speech so…

We are currently on the same track and Canada sees that

Everyone’s talking about it. That was 100% predictable. That’s what happens when you undermine your allies

I am well aware of the Xinjiang internment camps. They are a system of mass internment and forcible assimilation targeting the Uyghur ethnic group with the intent of eradicating Uyghur separatism. Canada maintains close relations with Israel and Saudi Arabia, both of which have committed atrocities.

The USA imprisons more of its ethnic minorities than any other nation on the planet, and that was before we began a program of brutal mass deportations of immigrants. Why would Canada not cozy up to China when its southern neighbor is threatening it? Canada’s anti-Chinese tariffs were because we asked for it, and now we are tariffing and threatening Canada. Why on earth would they do us a favor?

America cannot be upset at Canada cozying up to China. America brought this upon itself. America is now a threat to Canada rather than an ally. Canada is going to cozy up to the global superpower which isn’t threatening its own sovereignty, and that’s China.

It’s not like Canada is some bastion of human rights either btw. They were arguably worse to their indigenous people than we were 😭

I wouldn’t say that Canada was worse tbh. Canada had assimilatory practices (with the residential schools being famously brutal) but overwhelmingly fewer direct massacres against indigenous peoples than the USA did. Native American leaders like Black Elk even directly said it was preferable to be in Canadian territory. There’s a reason Canada is more indigenous than the USA. And even the most brutal Canadian stuff like the residential schools had direct counterparts in the USA.

We were pretty fuckin bad it’s hard to compete💀💀💀 Australia was pretty bad too (particularly in Tasmania) Australia also never recognized aboriginals as governments, so there are no treaties or reservations in Australia unlike in the USA. So the USA at least like granted a bit more respect ig.
