The millennia old Hindu Muslim beef(lol) doesn’t make things better for them since India will automatically support other “historically oppressed” indigenous religions like Shahist Zoroastrians and Israel (dumb considering Israel and their archrival Pakistan were formed in the exact same way)

Basically, they were a pretty big supporter of Palestine and saw Israel as an artificial creation similar to how the British and Mujahirs carved Pakistan out from India separating ethnic groups and resulting in millions of deaths. After the USSR collapsed and the Hindu nationalists took power there was a shift towards Israel that partly comes from Islamophobia and the need for new weapons suppliers

I’ve seen lots of reasons why leftists don’t like them, Indian culture is seen as colonized, hierarchical, and EXTREMELY patriarchal with one of the most horrific forms of oppressive segregation ever seen in human history (the caste system). The frogs in a bucket and white worshipping mindset also seen in Nigerians stems from colonization and makes them excellent in western capitalist systems. The decolonization movement in India has failed and become chauvinistic and Hindu supremacist instead

I don’t agree with them tho a lot of the more extreme leftists have a “if you’re not with me you’re my enemy mindset” and they apply that to all the Indians just trying to hustle after brutal poverty and colonization
