No we didn’t. They have been killing Americans abroad for 47 years. They were responsible for a lot of American deaths during the Iraq war and during counter insurgency operations there. I didn’t agree with starting this fight but now that we have we might as well finish what he started and remove Iran as a threat once and for all. If we don’t, Iran will hold the strait hostage forever. Use the money extorted from fees to fund terrorism inside the US on a scale I don’t think you can imagine

The IRGC is a death cult which controls a massive network of businesses in and outside of Iran. Money is taken from these businesses to provide funding and training for terrorism abroad. A decent amount is also used buy mansions and other luxury goods abroad for elites as well.

Iraq did go well. We have got a close ally and partner in the Middle East. Most of the Middle East now has good or improving relations with the US. Iran is the exception. No IRGC means no one left to fund every Islamist militia and terror organization in the Middle East. Iran’s proxy network is the weakest it’s ever been.

Iran is the last major threat to peace in the Middle East. Without them the Houthis won’t be able to lob missiles at ships in the Red Sea. And now that the houthis have announced the intention to blockade Saudi ports they have broken the ceasefire with the Saudi’s who now will likely respond by sending ground troops back into Yemen. With international help they will drive the Houthi’s into the sea. Once this is over

It did. We have a close partner in the Middle East who allows us to fly over their country. We have growing economic and security ties with the Iraqis as well as joint military training exercises. Iraq isn’t perfect but it’s a close us partner against Islamic extremists like Isis. The Iraqi military fought side by side with US troops against Isis.

There would be no war against ISIS is the USA didn’t destabilize Iraq, killing hundreds of thousands. The Iraq war and connected conflicts radicalized millions of people against the United States. Israel is invading its neighbors and serves as the primary recruitment mechanism for terrorist groups. They will not stop. They do not want peace.

That is an actual thing that happens in Afghanistan. There are multiple videos of it happening taken from various airborne EO sensors including the ones on Apache helicopters and mq-9 reaper drones. In the areas outside of the cities in Afghanistan literacy rates are among the lowest on earth. I don’t think you understand just how different Afghanistan is from the rest of the Middle East and the world.

I don’t disagree but, realistically it’s it will be next to impossible to go back. The first problem is figuring out who exactly is in charge in Iran and whether they actually have control over the IRGC. If they don’t negotiating will be a moot point.
